Timken India Ltd has launched a range of bearings for the textiles industry in India. The company is setting up a factory near Chennai with an investment of $27 million in the first phase.

Timken expects to increase its turnover from Rs331 crore in 2006 to Rs370 crore in 2007. The company is supplying bearings to the general industry segments. The new plant is expected to manufacture taper bearings of up to 12 inch outer diameter.
