The Timken Company announced that it’s supplying anti friction bearings to SMS Demag AG for installation in a plate mill and slab caster under construction for one of Russia's largest steelmakers. The order is valued at more than USD 2 million.
Timken spherical and tapered roller bearings will be installed in a 5 meter plate mill and slab caster under construction for the operator of the largest steel plant in Russia.

The slab caster and roll tables will incorporate Timken high capacity spherical roller bearings.

In addition, tapered roller bearings will be installed on the work and back up rolls of the heavy plate mill.
