New roller bearings enable more compact pump and transmission designs

With improvements in the geometry, surfaces and materials, Schaeffler says that its new X-life single row tapered roller bearings are quieter, operate at lower temperatures and offer up to 70% longer rating life.

Suitable for lifting gear, conveying systems, hydraulic pumps, vehicle transmission systems, static gearboxes and wheel bearing arrangements, the premium grade, X-life single row FAG T7FC tapered roller bearings offer a higher performing bearing with unchanged dimensions. The basic dynamic load rating of the bearings have been increased by up to 20%, and the basic rating life by up to 70%.

For some applications, where loads are unchanged, smaller and therefore more cost-effective bearing sizes can be used. Customers will now be able to design more compact transmissions or pumps, with extremely reliable bearings.
