The Timken Co. has a $2 million contract to supply bearings for Arcelor Mittal's new high-capacity, hot-strip steel rolling mill in Krakow, Poland.
The Canton-based maker of bearings and steel received the contract for tapered, spherical and cylindrical rollers from Siemens Metals Technologies, which is building the $400 million mill.
Timken bearings have been installed throughout the mill, which is scheduled to be commissioned in this quarter.
The mill produces finished products for carbon, stainless and special steel grades for the automotive, petroleum and fuel industries.
